Today is a REST day
Rest from RUNNING, that is.
The pork chops pizzaiola were good but the caramelized onion penne was fantastic!! It outshined the pizzaiola. Do not skip the anchovies if you make it. Don’t cringe- anchovies are loaded with flavor. Didn’t get to the green beans, but we’re having veggies tonight so it’s okay.
Work from 9:00-1:00 coaching soccer. Came home and made us some chorizo and potatoes for… brunch?… Haha. Then the boyfriend and I went to pick up a bookshelf from my old house. I went to Bed, Bath & Beyond with a gift card I got for christmas and got us some new towels. Ooo la la!! (the old ones are chewed up…. ew). He’s moving in with me when his roommate deploys in March so I’m trying to make this one-bedroom apartment more liveable for two people’s belongings. I don’t want to upgrade to a bigger place because I think we should just live small and save our money- It’s the Dave Ramsey way. We bought this over-the-toilet shelf thingy at K-Mart (on SALE! Woo!) and then these new towels and a shower curtain that doesn’t have pink flowers all over it. And we brought the giant bookshelf from my old house to hold all of our books. Last weekend I made a lot of room in the closet. I have a lot of shoes and clothes, but fortunately it’s a walk-in closet and it wasn’t too hard to get half of it empty for him.
Last night, the boyfriend and I watched The Time Traveler’s Wife. It was okay. If you have ever read that book, you know that the book was amazing. If you haven’t read the book or seen the movie, I highly recommend the book, but the movie is optional.
On a completely unrelated note, Facebook blows today. I keep trying to upload my pictures from Chile and it won’t do it. Oh well, I should be doing homework anyway.
Dinner: Seared Tilapia with Tomato Cream Sauce (Robin Miller’s Quick Fix Meals, Page 113) with Fried Squash and Zucchini.
