Half Marathon Training – Day 8

Chicken Cacciatore is not that impressive, I must say. Maybe it was just Robin Miller’s version? It was good enough, and I finished it all, and I guess I’d eat it again. But it wouldn’t be my first or second choice.

I have the cutest boots on today. They’re 4″ heels and like a beigey-grey suede slouchy boot from Alloy- The Ashley Boot. Cheap as hell and now they’re on SALE! Comfy as a 4″ can get. I LOVE them. I want to buy some more in black and chestnut. But I am desperately trying to restrain myself.

Today is a RUN day Cha-Cha-Cha! And I’m ready! I feel antsy.

Agenda: 1.25 miles, run 30 sec./walk 45 sec.

Results: 1.25 miles, run 30 sec (5.5 MPH)/walk 45 sec (2.5 MPH). Except I got tired of walking and ran the last quarter mile. Sorry Galloway… Burned 123 calories. Took 19:24.

Dinner tonight: Ginger Flank Steak with Wasabi Mashed Potatoes (Courtesy of Rachel Ray) and Snow Peas cooked up quickly with some shallots and soy. I’ve made this one before. It’s amazing! I am biased because I love steak and I love wasabi. But really, it’s amazing!

Dessert: Yes, I said it… Dessert! Bananas in an orange rum caramel sauce over a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Incredible!! The boyfriend is “not a fan” of desserts, but he called this one “pretty damn delicious.” Success!!

Grey’s Anatomy is on tonight :) ! Love that show!
